About the Role
We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Accounts Payable Officer (AO3) to support a busy government finance team based in Toowoomba. This temporary opportunity offers the chance to contribute to the efficient delivery of financial services within a large and fast-paced public sector environment.

Working as part of a collaborative Accounts Payable team, you’ll process a high volume of invoices, perform account reconciliations, and address payment queries, ensuring all transactions are accurate and compliant with relevant policies and procedures.

This position would suit an experienced Accounts Payable professional who enjoys working in a structured environment and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process large volumes of invoices and payments with precision and attention to detail.
  • Match purchase orders and investigate discrepancies promptly.
  • Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Reconcile accounts and manage outstanding items.
  • Maintain compliance with financial and procurement policies within SAP systems.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable within a high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar financial systems (highly desirable).
