About the Role | Director (Commercial and Contracts)
As Director, Commercial and Contracts, you will manage the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) contract and oversee commercial matters essential to the program’s success. Leading the commercial and contracts team, you will handle compliance, monitor program deliverables with Downer (QTMP’s delivery partner), and develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, including Queensland Rail, Downer, and relevant agencies.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research, analysis, and interpretation of complex commercial matters to inform decision-making and minimise legal exposure.
- Manage commercial activities related to rollingstock acceptance and variations.
- Oversee payment mechanisms linked to train acceptance, adopting a performance-driven approach.
- Demonstrate high professionalism, taking accountability for deliverables and fostering team development.
- Ensure responsive, effective service delivery through planning, financial management, and adherence to the Public Sector Act 2022.
