About the Opportunity

Office for Veterans is the central point of contact and coordination for veterans’ policy issues and Queensland Government commitments relating to veterans. The team works with partners across Government and within the sector to ensure Queenslander’s veterans’ voices are heard and they are supported to participate in government decision-making through a range of formal and informal mechanisms.


Some of your key responsibilities include:


  • Lead the delivery of special projects and programs designed to improve outcomes for veterans in Queensland
  • Develop high level policy and prepare complex submissions, briefs, reports and correspondence on policy and strategic initiatives regarding veterans’ issues and supports
  • Consult, coordinate and maintain collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, relevant government agencies and the community on veterans’ matters.
