About the Opportunity - Executive Director, Science Development and Office of the QLD Chief Scientist

The Executive Director will lead the Science Development and Office of the Chief Scientist branch in the delivery of science knowledge and resources across Queensland to ensure the effective application of science to drive a sustainable economic future. The role's responsibilities include developing strategy and policy, fostering international collaboration, and attracting science investment in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Chief Scientist Coordination & Engagement to promote Queensland’s science and research capabilities.
Oversee Quantum and Advanced Technologies projects to implement Queensland’s $76 million strategy.
Manage the Strategy, Policy, and Evaluation unit, responsible for science policy development and grant programs.
Direct the Science Partnerships and Development unit to maximise value from international science relationships and investments.
