The Position - General Manager Strategy and Growth

The General Manager Strategy & Growth is responsible for the development and effective implementation of the strategic plan and is accountable for successfully enabling the achievement of strategic initiatives & activities. This role provides clear strategic, financial, and commercial leadership for the PRO, including delivering key enabling PMO services to the Board, CEO, and business functions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategy & strategic planning

Develop and implement strategic and operational plans and budgets, collaborating with the CEO, the executive leadership team and key stakeholders to achieve key scheme, growth, development and strategic priorities
Drive strategic thinking and optimise the strategic planning processes for the organisation, including leading the engagement with the Board
Facilitate internal tracking and reporting of progress and results across strategic and operational execution initiatives
Identify opportunities, strategies, operational and process improvements to meet short- and long- term goals for growth of the scheme
Develop and implement clarity of strategic direction for all levels of the organisation, ensuring all staff are aware of how their role assists with the delivery on the corporate objectives.

Container Exchange (COEX) is a not-for-profit organisation created to establish and run the Containers for Change scheme in Queensland. We focus on reducing container litter, increasing recycling efforts and helping communities benefit through paying refunds to individuals, charities and community groups.
