Reporting to the Manager, Finance Operations, this role will support the delivery of financial administration, contract payment processing and management accounting activities within a busy and fast-paced operational environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of contract payments, maintaining compliance with financial controls and supporting month-end and forecasting activities.
This is a varied position offering exposure to financial governance, budgeting, reporting and cash flow management within a large-scale operational program.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process contract-related payments within required timeframes
- Validate payment claims, supporting documentation and approvals
- Maintain compliance with internal financial controls and governance processes
- Perform month-end accruals, journals and reconciliation activities
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of financial reporting tools and models
- Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding contract payment and service changes
- Assist with financial analysis and reporting activities as required
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations
- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and accounting principles
- Experience processing payments, reconciliations and month-end activities
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong Excel capability, including financial modelling and data analysis (desirable)
- Experience with SAP and/or SharePoint (beneficial and not required)
- Contract finance experience (beneficial and not required)
