We are working with a state government client is seeking an experienced Client Services Administrator.
Your new role
This role is integral to maintaining the official record of legal proceedings. The team is responsible for capturing and transcribing court hearings, ensuring an accurate, accessible, and searchable record of events. These records are critical resources used by judges, legal practitioners, courts, and parties involved in legal matters.
- Remotely monitor court proceedings from a desktop workstation to ensure accurate and continuous audio recording.
- Liaise with Associates / court staff to confirm recording systems are functioning effectively and proceedings are being captured in full.
- Annotate / label audio recordings to support transcription.
- Maintain awareness of two courtrooms simultaneously.
- Transfer speech-to-text outputs into approved Microsoft Word templates in accordance with established procedures.
- Format transcripts to meet style guidelines.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews to ensure transcripts accurately reflect the original audio recordings.
- Identify and correct errors in transcription, formatting, or content prior to finalisation.
- Foundational understanding of court proceedings.
- Good listening and comprehension skills to verify transcription accuracy against audio sources.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong multitasking skills, including the capacity to monitor and manage more than one live proceeding concurrently.
- Proficient typing and data entry skills to support accurate annotation.
- Proficiency in MS Word.
- Must be available to start immediately.
- Successful candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal History Check.
What's in it for You?
$69 to $75 per hour + 12% Super (PAYG - Agency Contractor)
Contract up to 18th September 2026, possible extension
