About the Opportunity
Kingston Human Capital are currently supporting a Queensland State Government department who are seeking an experienced Human Resource Officer for their Gold Coast based office.
  
Your new role
In this role, you will coordinate support to program and project managers, and regional staff by contributing to the delivery of Human Resource services across the region.
  
This role will see you
  • Support team leaders and managers across a wide range of HR matters
  • Research and analyse routine HR matters and makes recommendations consistent with policy and legislation
  • Coordinate inductions and exits for the region
  • Liaise with employees and leaders on establishment and payroll activities
  • Apply HR policies, procedures and processes to routine operations and situations
  • Compile and complete standard HR forms and documentation
  • Use Human Resource Information Systems, including data entry, data interrogation and routine reporting
  • Participate in Culture and recognition events for the region
  • Participate in business improvement activities
  • Build and maintain strong, working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve effective business outcomes
  • Collate, monitor and report on the performance and status of program/project and administrative support activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Good working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, employment legislation and industrial frameworks.
  • Strong administrative skills, including preparing HR documentation, correspondence, forms and reports.
  • Experience coordinating employee onboarding, inductions, transfers and offboarding/exit processes.
  • Ability to research and analyse HR matters and provide appropriate recommendations in line with policy and legislation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective relationships across different levels of an organisation.
Previous Queensland Government or public sector HR experience would be highly regarded, but not essential.
   
Benefits
  • Nerang based office, Gold Coast
  • Contract up to October 2027, with potential extension
  • $60.05 - $65.81 per Hour + 12% Superannuation
  • 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Weekly pay cycles, with no payroll fees from Kingston
