As the AO4-AO5 Correspondence Officer, you will play a key role in managing Ministerial and Director-General briefing materials and government documentation. You’ll coordinate responses to parliamentary processes and ensure all documentation adheres to departmental standards and deadlines. Your day-to-day will involve quality assurance, communication with stakeholders, and advice to business units across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Knowledge in MECS, TRIM/ Content Manager, and Department Style Guides
- Coordinate all Ministerial and Director-General correspondence, including briefing notes, trip briefs, and deadline extensions
- Ensure adherence to departmental protocols and the official Style Guide
- Provide expert guidance to staff preparing high-level documentation
- Coordinate and respond to discussion paper requests from Economic Policy
- Deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Provide first-level support for HP Content Manager/TRIM users
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
- Strong time management and organisational skills to manage multiple deadlines
- Proven ability to work under pressure and handle competing priorities

- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with TRIM/Content Manager systems is highly desirable
