Our government client is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven AO4 | AO5 Correspondence Officer to manage high-level communications and documentation within a dynamic, fast-paced public sector team. About the Role

As the AO4-AO5 Correspondence Officer, you will play a key role in managing Ministerial and Director-General briefing materials and government documentation. You’ll coordinate responses to parliamentary processes and ensure all documentation adheres to departmental standards and deadlines. Your day-to-day will involve quality assurance, communication with stakeholders, and advice to business units across the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge in MECS, TRIM/ Content Manager, and Department Style Guides
  • Coordinate all Ministerial and Director-General correspondence, including briefing notes, trip briefs, and deadline extensions
  • Ensure adherence to departmental protocols and the official Style Guide
  • Provide expert guidance to staff preparing high-level documentation
  • Coordinate and respond to discussion paper requests from Economic Policy
  • Deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Provide first-level support for HP Content Manager/TRIM users
Skills & Experience Required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Strong time management and organisational skills to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and handle competing priorities
  • Confident working independently and within a team environment
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with TRIM/Content Manager systems is highly desirable
