Our government client is seeking a highly capable Executive Assistant (AO5) to provide confidential executive and administrative support to a Deputy Director-General. This position will work at the intersection of executive coordination, policy liaison, and administrative leadership across a complex and fast-moving division.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and workflows for the Deputy Director-General’s office
- Coordinate complex calendar arrangements, briefings, and communications
- Liaise with ministerial, executive, and external stakeholders
- Oversee high-level travel arrangements, meeting coordination, and event logistics
- Maintain and improve executive support systems and procedures
- Ensure compliance with HR, finance, and administrative policies and regulations
- Support the preparation and review of Cabinet and Executive Council documentation
- Provide support for key meetings and committees, including minutes and action tracking
- Undertake short-term projects, research tasks, and briefing preparations
- Maintain confidentiality while ensuring accurate information flow and document handling
About You
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant within a government or high-level executive office
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident liaising with executive leadership, stakeholders, and external organisations
- Strong working knowledge of Content Manager (TRIM) and government systems (desirable)
- Previous experience in a Queensland public sector department is highly regarded
