Working within Biosecurity Queensland, the successful candidate will be part of the Strategy and Engagement Team that provides leadership to deliver multiple projects aimed at raising the profile of biosecurity, building stakeholder capability through education and innovation, advancing response readiness and strengthening biosecurity preparedness while fostering partnerships with key stakeholders.

- Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of biosecurity preparedness projects, ensuring objectives, timelines and outcomes are achieved.
- Collaborate with managers, subject matter experts and stakeholders to define project requirements, priorities and success measures.
- Develop, manage and adjust project schedules, resources and deliverables to meet agreed standards and timeframes.
- Coordinate project communications, including stakeholder engagement, reporting, presentations, events and advocacy activities.
- Monitor project risks and issues, maintain project registers and stakeholder records, and escalate emerging concerns as required.
- Undertake research and analysis to inform project planning and continuous improvement, while ensuring robust document management, record-keeping and compliance with project management methodologies
- Travel may be required to support stakeholder meetings, events, training, or other project-related activities. Any travel will be discussed and agreed with the worker in advance, and all approved travel expenses, allowances, and applicable overtime will be reimbursed in accordance with the relevant contract provisions and engagement terms.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience designing and delivering education, engagement and behaviour change initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Event coordination and organisational expertise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Queensland Government/Public Sector experience highly regarded.
