We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Sourcing Procurement and Contract Specialist to lead and manage complex ICT procurement and contract initiatives, based on the Gold Coast
This is a pivotal role responsible for delivering end-to-end procurement outcomes aligned with the organisation’s digital strategy and broader Queensland Government procurement policies.
This short-term, high-impact opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional with expertise in ICT procurement, contract management, supplier relationship development, and a deep understanding of QGEA, QITC, and government policy frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert procurement, sourcing, and commercial advice to senior stakeholders.
- Manage the full lifecycle of ICT contracts – from planning and tendering through to contract negotiation and performance management.
- Drive ICT procurement strategies aligned to organisational objectives and Whole-of-Government policies.
- Develop ICT category plans and supplier engagement frameworks to improve efficiency and value.
- Collaborate across departments to streamline contracts, manage supplier performance, and mitigate risk.
- Prepare complex documentation including board papers, business cases, and procurement plans.
- Apply strong analytical skills to drive demand management initiatives and cost-saving opportunities.
- Support and influence executive decision-making on strategic procurement projects.
- Oversee major ICT procurement projects with a focus on value creation and continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong experience in ICT procurement and contract management within a government or large organisational context.
- Expert knowledge of Queensland Government procurement frameworks (including QITC and QGEA).
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and supplier negotiations with a focus on commercial outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to manage risk, ensure contract compliance, and drive performance improvement.
