Kingston Human Capital is partnering with a well-established public sector organisation to recruit an experienced AO4 Finance Officer for an initial 6-month contract with potential extension.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing accounts payments and invoices
- Preparing and processing journals
- Managing corporate card transactions
- Supporting general debtor activities
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple systems
- Liaising with stakeholders regarding financial processes, systems and procedures
- Ensuring financial activities are completed in line with relevant policies and procedures
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and practices
- Providing broader financial support to the team as required
- Recent Finance Officer, Accounts Officer or similar finance experience
- TechnologyOne or FinanceOne experience is highly preferred
- Strong SAP experience will also be considered
- Experience within Queensland State Government, local government/councils, statutory authorities or similar public sector environments is highly regarded
- Hands-on experience with accounts processing, journals and financial administration
- Exposure to month-end processes
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach
- $60.05 + Super per hour
- 6-month contract with potential extension
