Your Role
In this role, you will join a team primarily responsible for managing QSS contracts, providing advice on contractual matters and managing vendor relationships.
 
The contracts being managed are ICT related, and range in value form $200K to $29M.
 
Key responsibilities and tasks will include:
  • Participate in ICT contract management activities in line with the requirements of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework and QSS Vendor Management Framework.
  • Provide administrative support to the Principal and Senior Contract and Vendor Management Officers within the Contract and Vendor Management team.
  • Manage and administer "routine" classified vendor contracts and agreements to ensure business needs are met.
  • Provide secretariat support for various strategic and contract management committees, including organising meetings, distributing papers, taking minutes, and managing actions and decisions.
  • Continuously seek to improve work practices, internal processes, and procedures in support of the organisation's strategic, business, and operational objectives.
Skills & Experience
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
  • Demonstrated experience in Contract Management, Vendor Management or Procurement
  • Experience drafting of documentation including contracts and contract management plans, as well as extension of existing contracts and annual renewals
  • Experience with, or ability to quickly gain knowledge of, contract, vendor, or financial management systems.
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • Proficiency written and oral communication with the ability to confidently articulate messages and achieve organisational outcomes
  • Ability to build and nurture positive relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships for collaborative delivery.
  • Ability to respond proactively and flexibly to change with a continual focus on stakeholders' needs and identifying areas of improvement.
Previous experience in a similar role within the Queensland Government would be very highly regarded.
 
Benefits
  • Brisbane CBD office with hybrid work arrangements
  • Initial 6-month contract, with potential 6-month extension
  • $69.21 - $75.09 per Hour + 12% Superannuation (PAYG)
  • 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Easily accessible by public transport
  • Weekly pay cycles, with no payroll deductions from Kingston
