Your new role
In this role, you will provide portfolio-level oversight, governance and delivery coordination across the Road Safety Systems Program (RSSP) and associated ICT projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring alignment to TMR governance frameworks, assurance requirements and external reporting obligations (including Information and System Committee and Digital Dashboard reporting).
You will work closely with business and Information Technology Branch (ITB) stakeholders to ensure programs/projects are aligned to ITB delivery approaches, technical governance, and assurance frameworks.
The position will act as a key interface between business stakeholders, Business Solution Delivery (BSD), Project Support Offices and ITB delivery teams.
In addition to the above, you will:
- Provide portfolio oversight across multiple complex ICT programs/projects, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget and delivery approach
- Undertake the Senior Supplier role at relevant governance boards, ensuring appropriate oversight of delivery, resources, and supplier capability
- Provide regular updates about the programs/projects to the associated senior leadership teams
- Lead and coordinate governance and assurance activities such as including assurance profiling and planning, gated reviews and external assurance engagements
- Support the Delivery of Project reporting to senior stakeholders including risks, issues, delivery confidence (RAG), and performance against TMR tolerance standards
- Identify and escalate risks and issues that may impact delivery outcomes or key milestones
- Coordinate resourcing, planning and delivery activities across the programs/ projects
- Support the programs/projects in establishing governance artefacts (e.g. PID, baselines, reporting) and consistent, compliant reporting practices aligned to BSD expectations
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Significant experience managing Portfolio or Program-level ICT initiatives
- Experience delivering portfolio-level reporting and performance oversight
- Strong capability to engage with senior executives and operate at Board level
- Strong understanding of QLD Government Governance, assurance and reporting frameworks
- Strong understanding of ICT delivery in complex stakeholder environments
- Proven ability to engage and influence both business and technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to drive alignment to governance, delivery and assurance frameworks
- Experience working in working hybrid delivery models
- Industry certification such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or similar
- Tertiary or post-graduate qualifications in Information Technology, Business and/or Information Technology, Portfolio Management or similar
- Experience working in government, or an environment with similar governance requirements
- Exposure to external reporting frameworks such as Information and System Committee, Digital Dashboard or Digital Investment Governance Framework (DIGF)
- Initial 12-month assignment, with potential extension
- $140-160 per Hour + Superannuation (PAYG)
- 8hr per Day / 40 Hours per week
- Carseldine office with hybrid work arrangements
- Start date in July
