Your Role

Our client, a large Queensland Government organisation, is seeking an experienced Identity and Access Specialist to support identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, and user administration across a complex SAP S/4HANA environment.

Your primary purpose is to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient identity and access management (IAM) processes across enterprise applications. You will administer user identities, manage access provisioning and de‑provisioning, support access reviews, and contribute to the design and maintenance of IAM workflows and controls.

You will work closely with senior security staff, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure access is managed in accordance with organisational policies, industry standards, and audit requirements.

Core outcomes of your engagement will include accurate identity lifecycle administration, effective access governance, SoD conflict identification, audit support, and delivery of high‑quality IAM documentation.
  
Key responsibilities and tasks will include:
  • Administer and maintain user identities, access provisioning, and de‑provisioning across SAP S/4HANA and CES applications
  • Support identity lifecycle processes (joiner, mover, leaver)
  • Analyse and resolve identity and access management issues
  • Support design, configuration, testing, and documentation of IAM processes
  • Apply security controls, policies, and procedures aligned with organisational and QGCIO standards
  • Assist with role assignments and identify potential Segregation of Duty (SoD) conflicts using SAP GRC Access Control
  • Undertake user access reviews, recertification activities, and access reporting
  • Administer identity and authentication services within SAP BTP IAS/IPS
  • Maintain current knowledge of IAM trends, standards, and legislative requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain the integrity of the integrated SAP solution
  • Support knowledge transfer and capability uplift across the organisation
  • Work onsite in Brisbane CBD, with occasional after-hours work for project milestones 
Skills & Experience To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
  • Experience in identity and access management administration within SAP S/4HANA or similar enterprise systems
  • Strong experience with SAP GRC Access Control (access requests, SoD analysis, access reviews)
  • Exposure to SAP BTP Identity Services (IAS/IPS)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to respond to IAM support requests in line with procedures and service levels
  • Experience working within legislative, policy, privacy, and security frameworks
  • Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and ensure access requests are properly understood and resolved
Desirable
  • Experience working in large enterprise or government environments
  • Understanding of identity lifecycle processes and access governance
  • Knowledge of privacy, information security, and regulatory requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Cyber Security, or related fields
  • IAM or SAP certifications (e.g., SAP GRC, IAM fundamentals)
