Make a real difference for Queenslanders.
We’re looking for someone who cares about fairness, cultural safety and practical support for people moving through the justice system. If you’re a relationship-builder who follows through and gets things done, this could be a great fit.

About the role
You’ll support Indigenous Justice Programs across Queensland, with a focus on strong partnerships and day-to-day problem solving. You’ll work closely with Community Justice Groups (CJGs), Elders and respected community members, the judiciary and service providers to help people access the right support at the right time.

What you’ll do
  • Be a trusted contact for CJGs—advice, coordination and practical support
  • Build relationships across courts, government and community
  • Help build capability for CJG staff and Murri Court Elders and Respected Persons
  • Review performance and financial reports and keep programs on track
  • Administer grants (SmartyGrants), and prepare briefs, reports and correspondence
  • Lead or support projects and help negotiate positive outcomes
What you’ll bring
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities
  • Clear, respectful communication and stakeholder skills
  • Organised, adaptable and able to juggle priorities
  • Comfortable with Microsoft 365 and able to learn new systems (e.g. SmartyGrants)
  • Sound judgement, cultural sensitivity and ethics
Please note a C class driver’s licence is required.
