We are seeking a highly capable Asset Management Specialist to support this QLD State Government Departments AMI Program. Deliver a targeted subset of plans that are focused on enhancing asset management practices, driving maturity uplifts, and achieving tangible benefits across the Department.


About the role:
In this role, you will play a key part in helping to drive the strategic improvement initiatives that will uplift the Department’s asset management maturity and strengthen decision-making and planning.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide asset management subject matter expertise by delivering strategic and technical advice across key program initiatives.
  • Lead the scoping, planning and delivery of asset management including asset custodianship, hierarchy, data standards and inspection regimes.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies, frameworks, standards, processes and governance aligned with ISO 55000 principles.
  • Lead stakeholder consultation, collaboration and change activities.
  • Analyse and resolve complex infrastructure asset management issues by providing practical recommendations to improve business and asset outcomes.
  • Prepare and manage key project deliverables, including business cases, options assessments, implementation plans and cost estimates.
  • Drive continuous improvement across asset management practices, data, reporting and business processes.
  • This role will report into the Asset Management Improvement (AMI) Program Manager (Director Asset Management Strategy.
  • Required to work in partnership with teams across the Asset Management Strategy group.
  • Build strong stakeholder partnerships to support the successful adoption of improved asset management practices.
About You
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in infrastructure asset management and improvement within complex, asset-intensive environments.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management frameworks, governance, asset hierarchies, data standards and operating models.
  • Proven experience leading complex projects or workstreams from scoping through to implementation.
  • Experience delivering business transformation, continuous improvement and capability uplift initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating complex asset and data issues into practical business outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Previous experience in a similar role within Government or similar complex organisation would be highly beneficial. Additional experience across large Capital Works infrastructure projects (hospitals, schools, stadiums etc) will be highly desirable.

  • Up to $125 per Hour + 12% Superannuation
  • 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
