In this role, you will join a program of work to modernise the Queensland Health Patient Administration Solution (PAS) across the state, including all 16 Hospital and Health Services (HHSs).
The initiative is in the readiness phase focused on detailed planning, including delivering the program business case and accelerated implementation planning activities.
Once approved, this exciting, multi-year, program of work will enhance patient engagement and access to services and support modern healthcare delivery for all Queenslanders.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work closely with delivery teams, senior managers, and subject matter experts to build exciting business cases for multiple solutions.
You will will be responsible for engaging and communicating effectively with stakeholders at every level (Program Director, Project Manager, clinicians, business stakeholders and end users) when required to make sure a complete implicit understanding of the business is known.
Additionally, you will contribute to an effective customer focused team and work collaboratively to initiate, influence, and maintain relationships between internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities and tasks will include:
- Lead and manage business analysis activities within a large ICT program.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the business analysis framework in accordance with organisational standards.
- Provide strategic and operational advice regarding direction for business analysis activities.
- Lead and ensure Business Process Modelling activities comply with organisational standards.
- Provide a support and mentoring role for other business analysts within the program/project(s).
- Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, facilitates effective communications and fosters relationships across program/projects.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Business Analysis Practice within the Branch and wider organisation
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing business analysis activities, including data migration, within complex projects
- Demonstrated experience leading business process modelling activities for large scale complex organisations, preferably using Business Process Modelling Notation
- High level knowledge and application of, appropriate business analysis frameworks, and an ability to promote and provide advice on use of appropriate techniques, methodologies, and tools, preferably aligned with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge Version 2.0 (BABOK)
- Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary project team.
Proven experience and working knowledge of Patient Administration Solutions / Systems (PAS) and / or electronic Medical Record (eMR) within a large, complex and distributed health care environment will be highly regarded.
