We are seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor (AO5) to join our State Government client on a contract basis within a major infrastructure project environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects that are shaping Queensland’s future.

As part of a large, collaborative infrastructure delivery team, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities, providing expert advice, and ensuring compliance with government policies and frameworks. 

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and support a range of procurement activities from planning through to contract management.
  • Provide clear, professional, and strategic advice to stakeholders to achieve quality procurement outcomes.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports, performance updates, and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and promote best practice.
  • Contribute to team capability by mentoring and supporting colleagues as required.
  • Ensure all procurement activity is undertaken with integrity, accountability, and in compliance with policy and procedures.

About you
  • Experienced in Queensland Government Procurement and/or capital works procurement in a project environment
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledgeable in procurement frameworks, systems, and practices. (government procurement certifications are advantageous)
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a drive for continuous improvement.
