We are seeking two Project Advisors (AO5 level) to join the Significant Projects team with a QLD Government Department in Buderim. 

Your new role

These varied and interesting role will see you:
  • Managing meetings - facilitating communication and coordinating activities, minute taking and following up on actions / decisions
  • Working with the project team to develop risk & issue mitigation strategies
  • Coordinating tender and procurement processes
  • Managing the document control and review process - drafting and updating project management plans
  • Reviewing and analysing project documentation to identify issues, risks and learnings for inclusion in registers, databases, and reporting systems.
  • Ensuring that project deliverables meet defined standards by conducting quality checks and reviews
  • Assisting the Project Manager with project health checks
  • Overseeing work undertaken by Project Support Administrators to ensure project support is provided in an efficient and effective manner
  • Ensure all project support activities, including establishment, maintenance, review and close off, are undertaken in line with relevant guidelines, policies and protocols.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Previous experience in a Project Advisor, Project Coordinator or Senior Project Officer role
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to pass a Criminal History Check
Previous experience in a similar role within Queensland Government, or on large infrastructure projects, would be highly regarded.

  • $67.13 - $72.96 per Hour + Superannuation 
  • Full time hours (38 hrs/week between 7am and 6pm Mon-Fri)
