This Queensland Government Statuary Body is initiating a major Digital Services transformation to establish a future-state operating model, as well as transitioning to new Managed Service Provider / Managed Security Service Provider arrangements.
In this role, you will provide dedicated project management support across the full program lifecycle, from operating model development and procurement readiness through the market process, transition and go-live, underpinned by strong governance, communication and change support.
The role requires a highly organised individual to coordinate the internal Steering Group, support delivery across multiple workstreams, act as a central point of coordination across internal stakeholders and external parties, and help ensure key project activities, decisions and deliverables are progressed on time.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the operating model and sourcing project - including project planning, timelines, reporting, risks, issues and actions, to ensure agreed outcomes are delivered on time.
- Support effective project governance by coordinating Steering Group meetings, preparing status reports, tracking decisions and maintaining key project documentation.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and external advisers to coordinate inputs and deliverables across the operating model, procurement, service design, requirements and transition workstreams.
- Coordinate and drive change management, communication and transition readiness activities to support adoption of the new Digital Services operating model and successful implementation of future MSP/MSSP arrangements.
- Develop and maintain core project artefacts, including project plans, action registers, RAID logs, meeting papers, status updates, and implementation documentation.
- Support development of the future-state Digital Services operating model, including current-state validation, requirements gathering, service design and definition of retained responsibilities
- Coordinate and support active procurement and market engagement activities, including documentation, reviews, clarifications and evaluation support
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder sessions, communications and follow-up actions to support alignment, engagement and project momentum
- Coordinate review and validation activities across key documents and deliverables
- Identify delivery risks, issues, dependencies and constraints
- Maintain high standards of delivery, governance and documentation
We are seeking a highly organised and delivery-focused Project Lead with demonstrated experience supporting complex transformation programs, procurement activities and stakeholder-led organisational change initiatives.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- 3 - 4 years practical experience in project management
- Demonstrated project management capability, including project planning, governance support, timeline management, prioritisation, issue and risk tracking, and coordination of deliverables across multiple workstreams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear project documentation, support governance forums, facilitate workshops and tailor communication to different audiences.
- Demonstrated experience supporting procurement, vendor engagement, contract implementation or supplier transition activities, including the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, external parties and delivery partners.
- Ability to be learn quickly and take initiative
- Ability to successfully complete a Criminal History Check and obtain a Queensland Blue Card
Previous experience in Government or Public Sector organisations would be beneficial, but not mandatory.
