They have adopted a Fit-to-Standard implementation approach with the S/4HANA cloud-based solution, leveraging the software’s pre-configured, industry-standard business processes.
As part of the of the first tranche release, the Department of Justice (including ECQ and QHRC) and 13 other Departments are scheduled to transition to S/4HANA in May 2026.
On behalf of the Department of Justice, we are seeking a Project Manager to lead this change focused project by:
- Leading the project and delivering high level communication and documentation to the Project Director and other key stakeholders.
- Ensuring Project leaders are briefed on projects objectives, milestones and progress through to client acceptance.
- Project manage a team to deliver successful outcomes - including change and communication activities in accordance with PRINCE2 project management methodologies, principles and practices.
- Establish and maintain effective engagement with QSS in understanding and assessing the impact of the S/4HANA system changes
- Manage and achieve results in all aspects of the development and implementation
- Provide authoritative advice and negotiate confidently with senior management and stakeholders on matters relating to the successful delivery
- Develop, prepare and deliver project documentation, progress and finalisation reports to the Project Director
- Manage risks and issues that may impact on the successful implementation of the project
- Work with business area stakeholders to ensure process and policy changes progressed in parallel to the project are communicated and accepted by end-users.
- Monitor, promote, and document the realisation of benefits of the initiative.
- Ensure the ongoing rigor of the DoJ financial control environment
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate
- Previous experience in IT and Business Project Management roles
- Previous experience managing system implementations or transitions
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Valid working rights for Queensland, Australia
- Ability to pass Criminal History Check if required

This opportunity offers you an initial 10-11month contract and a pay rate of $105.00 per Hour + Superannuation(negotiable with relevant experience)
You will be based in Brisbane CBD, close to public transport, with a targeted 40-hour week Monday to Friday.
