In this position, you will place play a crucial role in supporting the successful transition from a customised SAP ECC6 to standardised S/4HANA Public Cloud solution by working collaboratively within the Finance Modernisation Project team
  
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will analyse current and future state finance reporting requirements, identify gaps and opportunities and contribute to the design, build testing and implementation of reporting and analytics solutions.
  
Some of your key responsibilities will include
  • Working with stakeholders to evaluate, document, and clearly articulate the finance reports impacted by the S/4 HANA upgrade
  • Analyse the current (As-Is) finance reporting in ECC6 and BW and contribute to the design of future state (To-Be) finance reporting in S/4HANA Public Cloud using Embedded Analytics and SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Provide specialist advice on reporting design, analytics capability and the effective use of SAP Embedded Analytics and SAP Analytics Cloud to support business outcomes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand finance reporting needs, prioritise requests and provide advice on reporting capabilities and limitations
  • Design, build and maintain SAP Analytics Cloud stories, dashboards, models and visualisations that provide timely, accurate and meaningful business insights
  • Translate business requirements into reporting and analytics specifications, ensuring solutions are practical, accurate and aligned with organisational needs.
  • Prepare documentation including business requirements, report specifications, data definitions, report catalogues and user guides.
  • Participate in change impact workshops and playbacks, ensuring finance reporting needs are clearly understood.
  • Support test planning, user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect management and ensure the new reports are fully tested and fit-for-purpose.
  • Contribute to training material development and create detailed documents and artefacts using available tools, working closely with the Change Manager to define and articulate change impacts.
  • Promote reporting standards, governance and best practice in data management, security and access controls.
  • Design and optimise reporting models, queries and visualisations to improve usability, performance and insight generation
  • Maintain clear and auditable documentation in line with Queensland Government project governance standards.

About You
We are looking for the person best suited to the role considering the skills, experience, qualifications, knowledge and personal qualities that you would bring to the role.
  
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
  • Strong skills in finance reporting analysis
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective dashboards, stories, models and reporting products
  • Experience in developing and supporting reporting and analytics solutions using Embedded Analytics and SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Ability to clearly communicate to stakeholders the purpose, significance, impact and benefits of the standardised nature of S/4 HANA
  • Ability to show initiative, proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations in a clear, concise, and articulate manner
  • Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including finance and ICT teams.
Highly desirable
  • Data Analyst - SAP Analytics Cloud certification
  • Business Analysis certification (BABOK/CBAP, IIBA)
  • Project delivery experience using PRINCE2, Agile and/or other project management methodologies
  • Significant work experience with large scale, complex S/4 HANA implementations
  • Experience in finance management and finance services delivery
Previous experience in a similar role with Queensland Government (or similar public sector entity) would be very highly regarded.
   
What this role offers
  • Immediate start
  • Contract to May 2027
  • $830 per Day + 12% Superannuation (PAYG)
  • 8 hours per day/40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Brisbane CBD office with hybrid flexible work arrangements
  • Weekly pay cycles with no payroll fees/deductions
  • Ability to contract as Pty Ltd Contractor (criteria applies)
  • Support from specialised public sector recruitment consultants for the duration of your assignment
