 About the opportunity

Our client is one of Queensland Government's premier shared services provider, and they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HRIS Systems Administrator to join their passionate payroll and human systems team.

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the HRIS system and payroll operations in Aurion  while delivering outstanding support to both internal and external stakeholders.

You'll combine technical acumen with a client-first mindset, helping to continuously improve how they deliver critical services across a portfolio of government agencies.

Your role

As the Senior Aurion Systems Administrator, you will: 
  • Configure and maintain Aurion system settings to support onboarding of new client entities across a shared platform.
  • Manage system upgrades and liaise with vendors to troubleshoot and improve performance.
  • Develop and produce regular and ad-hoc reports using application-specific and external tools (Aurion Query Tool, Power BI, Technology One XLOne) and provide supporting analysis/advice.
  • Assist with audit processes, generate and analyse reports, and support system-related queries to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure high standards in data integrity, system access controls, and audit compliance.
What you will bring

We’re looking for someone with:
  • Experience in Aurion payroll system, preferably within a shared services or government context.
  • Confidence in identifying process improvements and turning business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • An eagerness for self-development, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

What is on offer
  • 6-month fixed term temporary role with possible extension (employed directly by the Queensland Government)
  • Annual salary of $116,538 plus 12.75% superannuation and leave loading
  • Opportunity for progression within the payroll and human systems team
