Kingston Human Capital are currently supporting the Department of Education with the appointment of a Senior Constructability Project Review Consultant.
  
What this role offers you:
  • Healthy 24 month assignment
  • $99-105 per Hour + Superannuation (PAYG)
  • 8hr per Day / 40 Hours per week

Your new role

In this role, you will support the assessment and review of construction projects during planning and delivery phases with a strong focus on constructability, buildability coordination, defects prevention and project risk identification.

This role will be working closely with the senior reviewer responsible for Level 2 and Level 3 assessments. Concluding final review positions and reporting outcomes and project advisory services. 

Seeking an experienced construction professional with:
  • Nearing 20 years practical industry experience
  • Strong hands-on construction knowledge
  • Broad project delivery exposure across multiple sectors
  • Ability to identify practical construction and coordination issues from drawings and documentation
Desirable Experience 
  • Previous experience in roles such as, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, License Builder (Open), Senior Site Manager and Project Engineer.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications efficiently, including architectural, structural, civil, and services documentation, with the capacity to identify discrepancies, omissions, and constructability concerns
  • Strong experience identifying coordination and interface issues across multiple disciplines, ensuring effective integration between structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and specialist contractor scopes.
  • Practical understanding of construction sequencing and methodology, including knowledge of site operations, staging requirements, temporary works, procurement considerations, and the impact of sequencing on programme, cost, and quality outcomes.
  • AutoCAD capability, with the ability to review, amend, and produce construction drawings, mark-ups, and coordination sketches to support design reviews and site-based problem solving.
  • Desired project experience across some or all the following project types would be highly regarded. Project types include Education facilities, shopping centres, commercial developments, government infrastructure, civil works, tilt panel construction and refurbishment and staged delivery projects
