About the Opportunity
Office for Veterans is the central point of contact and coordination for veterans’ policy issues and Queensland Government commitments relating to veterans. The team works with partners across Government and within the sector to ensure Queenslander’s veterans’ voices are heard and they are supported to participate in government decision-making through a range of formal and informal mechanisms.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Lead a range of projects to deliver government commitments to support veterans and the veterans’ community
- Identify monitor, research, develop and analyse policy options, and prepare comprehensive, high-level advice on veterans’ matters
- Liaise and negotiate with other agencies and stakeholders on a range of issues within a multi-disciplinary environment.
