We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer (AO3) to join a Queensland State Government finance team based in Brisbane. This is a full-time contract opportunity commencing mid-January, initially for 6 months, with potential for extension.
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end transactional finance processing, with a strong focus on accounts receivable activities. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, timely resolution of issues, and high-quality service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end Accounts Receivable transactional processing
- Monitor and prioritise work queues to ensure service level targets are met.
- Identify, investigate and resolve transactional issues and discrepancies.
- Respond to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues where required.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other business areas to support consistent service delivery outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable transactional finance roles.
- High-level literacy and numeracy skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work across multiple systems and manage high-volume data entry.
- Clear and effective communication skills
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience using SAP and/or working within the government sector is highly regarded, but not essential.
- AO3 Queensland State Government contract opportunity.
- Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension.
- $51.12 per hour + superannuation.
- Full-time hours (36.25 per week).
