We are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Governance Advisor.
Your new role
This role is responsible for providing advice and analysis of varied project and program data giving advice on governance issues, safety data, government election commitments and project financial data.
- Preparation of agendas and minutes for program and project leadership meetings, steering committees and program boards.
- Preparation of and analysis of financial and risk documentation, reviewing financial data and providing input for the Principal Advisor governance to utilise.
- Provide advice and assistance on dashboard development to track project risks, issues, spend against budget and to demonstrate compliance to key business areas.
- Creation, development and review of dashboards ensuring the projects are showing appropriate information to inform leadership teams.
- Project programming including monthly program updates.
- Monthly reporting of Project / Program performance utilising 3PCM software.
- Monthly risk management review and reporting.
- Provide advice on governance structure and reporting requirements to program and project managers and project team members to contribute to effective management of infrastructure programs and projects.
- Preparation and review of project and program information for advice to the Federal Government.
- Manage and review indigenous reporting for Region, offering advice on process to PIP and PDO and look at improvements to the accuracy of data reporting into the Federal Government.
- Liaising with external parties and assisting with financial processes in alignment with the departmental procurement business and governance framework.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience in project and program governance within complex infrastructure or government environments.
- Previous experience using PowerBi or advanced Excel skills.
- Experience preparing agendas, minutes, briefing papers, and governance documentation for leadership meetings, steering committees, and program boards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report on financial, risk, and project performance data.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and organisational skills.
Contract up to December 2026, possible extension
Nerang Location (Gold Coast)
$69.22 to $75.10 Per Hour + 12% Superannuation (PAYG - Agency Contractor)
Full time hours (Monday to Friday)
