In this role, you will work with a central State Government Department to drive change management activities for their transition from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA.
This role is critical to ensuring that the department and stakeholders are well-prepared for the system upgrade, enabling a smooth, supported, and effective transition.
What you will be doing
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk registers and deliver updates to project sponsors and other key stakeholders ensuring they are briefed on projects objectives, milestones and progress through to acceptance, whilst maintaining a stakeholder focus.
- Build and sustain relationships with a network of the department and shared service provider to proactively manage the project and identify and escalate risks and issues that may impact on the successful implementation of the project through the governance framework.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Change Management Strategy and Plan, aligned with best practice methodologies, ensuring alignment with program goals.
- Lead change impact assessments and stakeholder analyses; develop targeted interventions to manage impacts across processes, roles, and technology.
- Review and develop and deliver clear change communications strategy for stakeholders and employees at all levels, including comprehensive communication plans and executive-level reports/presentations
- Identify and manage change-related risks and resistance, tracking adoption feedback and embedding sustainable change post-implementation.
- Facilitate business readiness activities, facilitate business readiness assessments, and monitor engagement and adoption progress to ensure operational teams are fully prepared for go-live and ongoing support
- Demonstrated skills in Program/Project Management to ensure all project deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements are met within agreed timeframes.
- Experience in Project and Change Management on ERP or SAP projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and interpersonal skills, including experience collaborating with virtual, shared business, and technical teams.
- Experience in managing resistance and embedding sustainable change
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level reporting
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Experience in public sector or highly regulated environments.
