Diversity Survey Privacy Notice 

As part of our compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP), Kingston Human Capital requests you read the following information regarding how we collect your personal and sensitive information and how we maintain, use, store and disclose of your personal and sensitive information in connection with your possible or actual work placements and agree where indicated to acknowledge your acceptance and understanding of this information. 

 

Purpose 

Kingston Human Capital is conducting a Diversity Survey to gather information about workplace diversity. This Privacy Notice explains how we handle the personal information collected through the survey.

We adhere to data protection principles, ensuring that your personal information is:

  • Collected only for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes.

  • Any caring responsibilities. 
  • Information about your race or ethnicity. 
  • Information about your health, including any disabilities. 
  • First Nations affiliation. 


Employment Specifics: 

  • Your qualifications. 
  • Current work status or work arrangement. 
  • The type of company and industry you work in. 
  • Your job role, department, and seniority. 
  • Your salary and any bonuses and their details. 
  • Any benefits or incentives received in connection with your employment. 


Diversity-related Insights: 

  • Your knowledge, experience, and opinions on diversity, discrimination, and inclusion practices in your workplace and work environment. 
  • Your opinions on the culture within your workplace and working environment. 
  • Any military service history. 

We do not collect information about criminal convictions or more sensitive data unless voluntarily provided. 

 

How We Collect Information 

Participants provide information directly through responses to the Diversity Survey. 

 

How We Use Your Information 

 We use the collected personal information to: 

  • Assess and improve diversity and inclusion initiatives within participating organisations. 
  • Compile anonymised data for internal analysis and reporting purposes. 

 

Data Sharing 

We do not share personal information with third-party organisations. All data collected remains confidential and is used solely for the purposes outlined above. 

 

Data Security 

We have implemented appropriate security measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. 

 

Data Retention 

Personal information will only be retained for the duration of the recruitment process. Once the recruitment process is complete, personal information will be securely disposed of in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. 

 

Rights of Access, Correction, Erasure, and Restriction 

Under the Australian Privacy Principles (APP), you have certain rights regarding your personal information, including: 

Requesting access to your personal information, known as a "data subject access request." This allows you to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and verify its lawful processing. 

Requesting correction of any incomplete or inaccurate personal information we hold about you. 

Requesting the erasure of your personal information, allowing you to ask us to delete or remove it where there is no legitimate reason for its continued processing. You also have the right to request deletion where you've objected to processing. 

Requesting the restriction of processing of your personal information, such as suspending processing to establish accuracy or purpose. 

Requesting the transfer of your personal information to another party. 

Withdrawing consent at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
