We are working with a state government client who is seeking a Project Support Officer.
Your new role
The purpose of the Project Support Officer is to provide high level support services to project managers and team members on the road infrastructure projects. You will provide administrative and project support to enhance the timely and effective delivery of project/s, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies and procedures.
- Provide high level administrative support to project managers and team members, including coordinating team meetings, taking and distributing minutes, preparing documents and reports, establishing and maintaining spreadsheets and registers and providing timely information, updates and presentations as required.
- Project support for financial approval documentation, contract administration systems and procurement related activities. Including preparation of procurement documentation, liaising with external parties and assisting with tender processes in alignment with the departmental procurement business and governance framework.
- Ensure infrastructure project documentation is accurately compiled, tracked and recorded, and follows up to ensure timely delivery and approvals within set timeframes.
- Provide administrative support to various Project Managers to ensure tasks are completed within specified deadlines.
- Ensure operational practices and standards of service and performance comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (incl. WH&S), and governance obligations.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- High level of competency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A basic knowledge and understanding of procurement, with experience in procurement / finance in an infrastructure environment being desirable.
- Ability to maintain effective communication and relationships between key internal and external stakeholders and contacts.
- Embraces new ideas/innovation and makes considered, ethical and courageous decisions, based on insight into the broader context of program.
- Demonstrates accountability for the execution and quality of results through professionalism, persistence, and transparency.
- Current holder of a “C” class driver’s license.
Contract up to March 2027
Gold Coast, Location
$51.12 Per Hour + Superannuation (Agency Contractor)
