Kingston Human Capital are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Project Support Officer for their Nerang office.
This team is responsible for delivery of the region’s priority projects through the planning, preconstruction and construction phases.
Your new role
In the role of Project Support Officer, you will utilise a broad range of computer software programs and information management systems and databases to provide high level support services to project managers and team members in the Project Team. You will provide administrative and project support to enhance the timely and effective delivery of project/s, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies, and procedures.
- Providing high level administrative support to project managers and team members, including coordinating team meetings, taking and distributing minutes, preparing documents and reports, establishing and maintaining spreadsheets and registers and providing timely information, updates and presentations as required.
- Project support for financial approval documentation, contract administration systems and procurement related activities. Including preparation of procurement documentation, liaising with external parties and assisting with tender processes in alignment with the departmental procurement business and governance framework.
- Ensuring infrastructure project documentation is accurately compiled, tracked and recorded, and follows up to ensure timely delivery and approvals within set timeframes.
- Provide administrative support to various Project Managers to ensure tasks are completed within specified deadlines.
- Ensure operational practices and standards of service and performance comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (incl. WH&S), and governance obligations.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience providing high-level administrative and project support within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage spreadsheets, registers, and reporting documentation
- Experience supporting project delivery, with an understanding of project lifecycles, timelines, and coordination of key activities
- Exposure to procurement processes, financial approvals, contract administration, or tender support an advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage and track documentation accurately and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience within government or infrastructure project environments will be highly regarded.
- Contract up to November 2026, possible extension
- Nerang, Gold Coast
- $51.12 per Hour + Superannuation (Agency Contractor)
- Full time hours (Monday to Friday)
