About the Opportunity

We are working with a state government client who is seeking a Business Coordinator who has exposure working within Human Resources.
  
Your new role

Reporting to the Manager and working closely with the Senior Advisor (Workforce), you will provide centrally coordinated HR support, project assistance and workforce administration services across the business.
  
You’ll be part of a collaborative team that partners with leaders and stakeholders to deliver practical, sustainable and business-focused HR solutions.
  • Supporting effective recruitment and selection processes, including participating in selection panels and administering employment programs and initiatives
  • Assisting in capability development and workforce planning activities
  • Preparing high-quality reports, submissions, briefs and research papers for senior leadership
  • Monitoring and maintaining establishment management activities to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Providing timely, practical HR advice to managers and employees on policies, standards and guidelines
  • Contributing to the delivery of HR projects and strategic workforce initiatives
  • Supporting the implementation and monitoring of workforce action plans
  • Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with capability uplift initiatives across HR functions
  • Contributing to the development of local HR strategies, systems, policies and procedures to ensure compliance and meet business needs
About You

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to tailor your message to different audiences
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk mitigation
  • Sound planning and organisational capability
  • A willingness to share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement
  • An understanding of core HR disciplines and the ability to apply policies and procedures under guidance
  • A criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment (due to access to sensitive information)
  • A valid Queensland ‘C’ class driver’s licence (or equivalent)
  • Willingness to undertake reasonable travel across the State as required
What’s in it for You?

Contract up to March 2027
Brisbane, CBD location
$60.05 Per Hour + Superannuation (Agency Contractor)
Full time hours (38 hours p/w)
