This is an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a Queensland State Government department within the Corporate Services Financial Accounting team, supporting a major SAP S/4HANA project.
Supporting this major SAP S/4HANA transition, you’ll play a hands-on role in preparing, cleansing and validating financial data for migration. You’ll contribute to testing activities, support business readiness and work closely with stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, complete and ready for transition into the new system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleanse and manage general ledger and open item data to ensure accuracy prior to migration into SAP S/4HANA
- Review and cleanse asset register data to ensure completeness and integrity
- Prepare financial data in Excel templates and support data uploads into SAP S/4HANA
- Perform reconciliations during trial conversions and cutover activities
- Support business readiness by working with stakeholders to gather data and resolve issues
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on data readiness as required
- Participate in user acceptance testing, including executing test scenarios and validating outcomes
- Identify and assist in resolving data and system issues during testing phases
- Define reporting requirements and set reporting criteria within SAP S/4HANA
- Support the transition of reports from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA
- Deliver training and provide support to teams and business users during rollout
- Assist the Financial Accounting team with general tasks, including end-of-year reporting if required
