- Support the preparation of financial reports and consolidated financial statements
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and Queensland Government reporting requirements
- Review financial reporting processes and internal controls, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve financial reporting issues
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and data integrity checks
- Build strong working relationships across divisions, business units and external stakeholders
- Proven experience in financial reporting and statutory compliance
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Government experience is highly regarded (commercial candidates also encouraged to apply)
- Ability to complete a criminal history check prior to commencement
- SAP ECC6 or S/4HANA experience highly desirable
- Advanced Excel skills and exposure to financial reporting systems
