About the Role | Director (Commercial and Contracts)
As the Manager (Commercial and Contracts) you will manage the implementation, administration, review and monitoring of the commercial contract with a specific focus on the payment and performance regime for QTMP. You will be responsible for the development and provision of strategic advice and options concerning the performance of the QTMP contract and ensuring due diligence and accountability in relation to all contract payments.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team who manage the program’s contracts ensuring the obligations from all parties are delivered. Allocate resources for the management of key contracts within the team. Support team members in career development, performance and manage all aspects of the resourcing of the team.
- Build and sustain strong professional relationships with external parties and internal stakeholders to ensure contracts are managed within required guidelines. Be a key point of contact on behalf of the program to monitor performance.
- Conduct analysis on contract performance metrics to determine strategies to improve customer outcomes. Provide recommendations to senior executives using evidence-based research.
- Lead negotiations in contract meetings to procure new services and facilitate the development of clear and concise contractual documentation.
- Lead by example by modeling ethical decision-making processes and abiding by government probity requirements.
- Develop contract monitoring processes and commercial strategies to monitor performance, KPIs and claims to ensure compliance with the contract and to address any contract performance issues.

- Develop, implement and lead payment and performance-based procedures between the State, Operator and Contractor.
