Elizabeth Kingston is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Kingston Human Capital.

After more than a decade working with local and global recruitment firms, she saw an opportunity to create a different type of recruitment business.

Kingston Human Capital is founded on two key beliefs. The first: People are the heart of everything and can ‘make or break’ an organisation. Second: Recruitment, when done in a deeply consultative and strategic way, can be a game-changer.

Elizabeth intentionally built a professional services business that solves the most critical challenge facing leaders today: How to get the best people on their team.

“If you think recruitment is a transaction, you are under-capitalising on the deeply strategic nature of what it can be.

Every single hire can be used to upgrade the capability of your organisation. You can literally transform your business with the people you hire. Applying the same diligence and passion to her clients’ talent acquisition as she does to building her own team, Elizabeth believes leaders must only hire the best talent in the market.

“We have a saying about the critical decisions we support our clients to make: “If it’s not a HELL YES, it’s a no”.

To help clients transform their organisations with the best talent, Elizabeth and her team take an honest, consultative and long-term approach. Leveraging the latest algorithmic search and machine learning technologies coupled with good old fashioned hard work and diligence, they leave no stone unturned in finding and engaging the best talent in the market.

The value of this approach is demonstrated in the fact that 96% of Kingston Human Capital’s permanent appointments are still in place after three years.

“Some people say recruitment is an art - I believe it’s a science. I am fascinated by behavioural economics and the role it plays in the recruitment value chain”.

Elizabeth is a guest speaker at conferences and talent forums, an advocate of women in leadership and co-host of the Queensland Women in Leadership luncheon series.
